Casting Call: Help Us Build Something Exceptional
Today, Base Camp is one woman with a big vision for an incredible gymnastics school.
I’ve spent more than 25 years in this sport, coaching kids, leading teams, building programs, and teaching coaches and gymnastics leaders across the country. Along the way, I’ve worked in many different kinds of gyms, built my own career in this industry, and come to a few conclusions about what makes a great gymnastics program and a great place to work.
A Few Things I Believe:
1. Gymnastics professionals deserve real careers.
Great coaches and leaders should be shown clear pathways for professional growth, given opportunities to develop their craft, and compensated well for the expertise and value they bring.
2. Recreational gymnastics deserves exceptional coaches.
An all-rec program can be an amazing home for talented coaches who care deeply about sound progressions, thoughtful lesson planning, and helping kids develop real skills. It can also offer a better work-life balance without competitions consuming weekends and life outside the gym.
3. The cream rises to the top.
The best teammates I’ve known are the people who practice their craft, lead with integrity, genuinely love what they do, show up consistently, take ownership of their work, and actively look for opportunities to become better, both personally and professionally.
4. There is nothing quite like building something from the beginning.
Working in a startup gym can be incredibly exciting and rewarding. You’ll solve problems, create systems, influence culture, potentially wear a few hats, and have the opportunity to make a real mark on what Base Camp becomes. There aren’t many gym environments that can challenge you and accelerate your professional growth quite like a brand-new one.
Where I’m Coming From
I’ve been fortunate to learn this business from many different vantage points.
I've spent 25+ years learning what makes great gymnastics programs and great workplaces. I've worked in exceptional competitive and recreational programs, helped grow programs from the ground up, and I'm bringing the best of those experiences, along with plenty of lessons learned, to Base Camp.
Now I’m looking for the people who want to help build what comes next!
Base Camp Might Be for You If...

Who We’re Looking For
As we build our founding team, Base Camp will be hiring experienced gymnastics professionals and promising coaches who want to grow with us. Opportunities will range from part-time coaching positions to full-time leadership roles.
We’re especially interested in people with strengths in recreational gymnastics, preschool gymnastics, program development, staff training, customer experience, camps and events, and gym leadership.
Have a background in directing cheer, adaptive gymnastics, babynastics, ninja, or another specialty program? Let's talk. Base Camp has space to add stellar new programs and the people who can help build them.
